The first thing I notice when looking for a coworking space
I recently moved to a new city and I’m on the hunt for a coworking space to work from.
It’s fun being in the mindset of an actual prospective member again. I get to watch my internal dialogue during the buying process, which is like literal gold to me.
It’s like having an inside view into the minds of prospective members. Good marketing stems from ultimate empathy with your target market, after all. And this helps.
There’s one thing I noticed about my first impressions that I want to share with you: pictures are everything.
Nobody wants to work in an uninspiring environment. What would it say about them if they did?
I’ve always known that good photography sells, but this is a gentle reminder that you can’t show too many high-quality photos on your website (everywhere else).
My favourite photographers for shooting coworking spaces are residential real estate photographers. They are experts at shooting interior spaces and can produce photos that make your space look immaculately bright and as big as can be.
They have streamlined their process enough to churn through multiple homes in a day, which means they are able to shoot and deliver edited photos at very reasonable rates.
Can’t complain about that.
So don’t go through all the trouble of designing a great space then skimp on the photos. They matter. A lot.
Have lots of them. Make them bright and beautiful. Put them everywhere you can on your website, social media, and other marketing materials.
It really helps, which I can confirm first-hand.
